Welcome to The Hamlet School

Founded in 1954, The Hamlet School has become a Place of Hope for intellectually disabled children and their families.

We follow the CAPS curriculum for disabled learners, where teaching is focussed on learning life skills and aiding integration into society.

    To accept them with dignity as special learners, who can enjoy happiness and quality of life.

    In alliance with the parents, support the learners to become as independent as possible and acceptable to society.

    To establish and foster significant community-based support.

    To develop the learner's maximum potential so that at the end of their school career they can function productively in the workshop, work place or at home.
